１９６３年９月、ゴードン神学院・Gordon Divinity Schoolの神学量の同室者として出会った、生涯の友リッチ・ワイゼンバッハ牧師から、９月に予定されている2017年9月、ゴードン神学院・Gordon Divinity School卒業５０年記念集会について、以下のような確認の連絡がありました。

　卒業後、何回かワイゼンバッハ夫妻とは再会の喜びを重ねて来ました。
今回、私たち夫婦の健康などの制約で、この特別な機会に駆けつける準備が出来ていません。
　リッチが勧めてくれているように、説教者としての歩みを続け、文書宣教の働いを継続できた恵みを報告したいのです。
　そうです。リッチの親切と支えは、留学生活のスタートだけでなく、最後まで主からの賜物でした。
　ベットメイキングを初めいつも部屋をきちっと整理していたリッチの言葉を思い出します。「タケオ、頭の中は整理されていても、部屋は、いつも雑然だな」。

Rich W. here. Just reminding you that there will be a reunion of our Gordon Divinity Class in September. I doubt that you and Kimiyo can come but a word of greeting would be great.
We are retired not but still preaching every week in a church in Woburn. We are fine but have had a challenging winter. Pat broke her leg and I endured 44 radiation treatments for prostate cancer. We are both well now, Thanks be to God!! We are living in Magnolia, brings back many memories. Love and Peace. Rich
