Day 2 | Wondrous Love!
John 14:30-31 (NASB)
It was time, the time set by the Father before the foundation of the world. It was time to give expression to the testimony concerning what was in the Father’s heart. Jesus had declared that testimony to Nicodemus, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

There was no more need for talking, no more need for discussion. The time had come for Jesus to start the final stretch of the journey toward his Father, by way of the cross. But there was one more thing Jesus did want the world to know: so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded me. His obedience, motivated by love, left no room to think that Satan had a claim on his life. He was freely laying down his life because he loved the Father!

He would endure the cross for you, me, and the whole world!
And our response is:

What wondrous love is this, O my soul, O my soul!
That caused the Lord of bliss
to bear the dreadful curse for my soul!
